Oud Classes & Workshops
Group Classes for adults and youth

Ages 12+
Join us for a journey into the soulful world of the oud - one of the oldest and most beautiful instruments in Arabic music. Whether you're just beginning or ready to refine your skills, our small-group classes offer hands-on instruction, personalized guidance, and a welcoming community of music lovers.
We also offer one-session oud workshops.
2026 Summer Oud Classes
- Two sessions on Tuesdays, May – July:
- SESSION I (6 classes, 6 hours):
- May 12, 19, 26; June 2, 9, 16
- SESSION II (6 classes, 6 hours):
- June 23, 30; July 7, 14, 21, 28
- SESSION I (6 classes, 6 hours):
- In person at Alif Institute (Chamblee)
- Levels:
- Beginner I:
Tuesdays, from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm, in-person at Alif Institute. - Beginner II:
Tuesdays, from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm, in-person at Alif Institute.
- Intermediate:
Tuesdays, from 8:30 pm – 9:30 pm, in-person at Alif Institute.
- Beginner I:

- SESSION I (6 classes, 6 hours): $165 for Sanad Team members, $175 for non-Sanad Team members
- May 12, 19, 26; June 2, 9, 16
- SESSION II (6 classes, 6 hours): $165 for Sanad Team members, $175 for non-Sanad Team members
- June 23, 30; July 7, 14, 21, 28
- Pro-rated if you join after the first class. (For pro-rated payments, please contact us at info@alifinstitute.org.)
- The drop-in rate is $35 per session for Sanad Team members / $40 for Sanad Team non-members if space is available. (Pay in person. RSVP required before class.)
- Oud rental:
$65 for up to five months (while registered for classes) plus a refundable $150 security deposit.- Rental cost covers the entire session.
- Oud should be returned on the last day of class.
- There are a limited number of ouds for rent. Please check with us for oud rental availability. We also happy to suggest how to buy your own oud.

- PLEASE NOTE:
- There are no refunds after the first class of the session.
- There are no make-ups for missed classes.
PRIVATE LESSONS
- Private lessons with flexible times are also available.
- The cost is $70/hour.
