Alif’s in-person domestic program allows you to study Arabic and immerse yourself in the culture. In this two-week program, you will learn Integrated Levantine Arabic inspired by the Arabic as One Language Cornell University integrated Arabic model of Fusha and Levantine dialect in tandem with Alif’s critical intercultural communication curriculum.

  • Classes in the program will be held Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 1 PM. Upon completing the course, elementary students will develop linguistic proficiency at the novice/intermediate level according to the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.
  • Students have the option of adding up to three weeks of instruction after completing the first two weeks.
  • Transfer of credit may be arranged with your home institution. Please contact us for details.

Policies and Regulations (Please read):

Students with prior Arabic experience will be evaluated to ensure appropriate placement.

Tuition should be paid in full at the time of registration, by check, cash, or credit card (Visa or Master Card). Tuition is non-refundable after the first class and may not be transferred to another semester. The return check fee is $45. Alif Institute is not responsible for classes missed due to student absence. Textbook costs are included in tuition fees.

Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of full payment.

Alif Institute programs and facilities are available to all persons without discrimination by race, color, creed, age, sex, gender, national origin, or handicap.

Alif Institute has determined a set of rules to ensure a favorable learning environment for every student. All students attending classes at Alif Institute must abide by these rules and, for minors, parents share the responsibility of seeing that their children adhere to these rules.

  1. Students should arrive on time and should be prepared for class.
  2. Please do not come to class if you are sick. Notify the instructor and we will make arrangements to have you Zoom in and/or send you information about the classwork.
  3. Class disruption, inappropriate gestures or language, or throwing objects is not tolerated
  4. Defacing or destroying Alif property or other personal property is not tolerated.
  5. For minor students: Leaving Alif Institute without permission is not allowed.
  6. For minor students: All students should leave Institute promptly at the conclusion of class. If it is necessary to wait a short time for transportation home, students should wait in the area designated by the teacher.
  7. For minor students: Parents will be notified when their students violate these rules for the first time. Repeated violations of the rules may lead to the student’s expulsion from the class. Alif Institute will refund part of the tuition corresponding to the remaining class hours for that course.
