We are excited to start a new year of exploring Arabic cultures through food! Please see below for our Winter/Spring Arabic Cooking Series and let us know if you have any questions or suggestions. 

  • No experience is required and all levels are welcome.
  • Spaces are limited, so first come, first served for registration.
  • You can register by yourself or with a partner.
  • Masks are required for indoor classes.

This year, start off your Valentine’s Day celebrations with an extra-special treat and an Arabic twist! From Sonia with Love’s professional confectioner extraordinaire, will show us how to make super fancy LUXURY DATES! These bite-sized delights will melt in your mouth and impress your friends and loved ones. You can stuff your chocolate-covered dates with roasted almonds, tahini, pineapple, pistachios, and more.  So many delicious options! In addition to learning how to make these scrumptious treats, you’ll make enough to feast on and have some to take home.

Stuffed grape leaves are a venerated tradition for cooks in the Arab world, particularly in the Levant area. Returning guest chef, Yasmine Makhlouf, will show us how it’s done so you can impress your family and friends with her family recipe.

Some things are just better homemade, and mamoul is definitely one of these! Join us for a fun-filled afternoon as we make delicious mamoul, family-style! Mamoul is a special tradition for Easter and Eid, both of which fall in April this year! Enjoy the company of your fellow participants and learn how to make this delicious cookie, filled with dates and nuts, so you can enjoy it year-round.
